Our philosophy

We don't sell tours.
We design journeys that transform perception.

"Waking up among coffee plantations on a third-generation farm, the owner telling you about each harvest."

— The kind of moment we design for
01

Privileged access

Authentic, exclusive experiences off the beaten path. The places others don't reach. The people others don't meet.

02

White-glove service

Personalized operation from first consultation to your return home. Every detail considered. Every moment protected.

03

Conscious travel

Real connection with communities and ecosystems. Quality over quantity. Depth over distance. Meaning over checklists.

Common questions

Before you reach out.

How far in advance should I plan my Colombia trip?
We recommend reaching out 3–6 months in advance for peak season travel (December–January and June–August). That said, we've put together excellent last-minute journeys for travelers with more flexibility. The earlier you contact us, the more options we can offer — especially for popular lodges and exclusive experiences.
What does "private" mean in your journeys?
Every Colombia Essence Travel journey is exclusively yours — no shared group buses, no strangers at your dinner table. Your guide is dedicated to your group only, your transport is private, and your itinerary is designed around your preferences, not a fixed schedule for 20 people.
Is Colombia safe for international travelers?
Colombia has changed dramatically over the past two decades. The destinations we operate in are well-established for international tourism, and we only work with experienced, vetted local guides and operators. We proactively manage all logistics to ensure your comfort and safety, and provide 24/7 emergency support throughout your journey.
What's included in the price?
Our prices include private accommodation in boutique hotels and lodges, all in-destination transport, specialist bilingual guide fees, curated activities and experiences, welcome kit with local specialties, and 24/7 support. International flights, travel insurance and personal expenses are not included. We provide a detailed breakdown with every proposal.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions or special needs?
Yes. We handle dietary requirements, mobility considerations, family travel with children and specific medical needs as part of our standard planning process. Please mention these in your inquiry and we'll incorporate them into every aspect of your journey design.
